Michelle started A-TEAM Training & Consulting in 2016 with a vision to bring together “A Team” of Instructors that could make a difference in how First Aid Training is delivered in the Classroom. She is a Teaching Supervisor and First Aid and CPR Instructor with the Canadian Red Cross as well as a Basic Life Support Instructor with the Heart and Stroke Foundation. She has also been involved in the Transportation Industry since 2011 both as a Driver Educator and Driver Examiner.


Originally from Chilliwack, BC, she has called Alberta home for the past 10 years and enjoys spending time with kids, family and pets. Her hobbies include cooking, gardening, fishing, house reno’s, working on her Mustang and going back to BC whenever she can!


Kaytie Edney



Kate is a Certified Red Cross First Aid & CPR Instructor and has lived in Whitecourt for 30 years. She enjoys sledding in the mountains, spending time at the lake in the summer and cuddles with her pup Revy. She is also a licenced Associate Broker with Exit Realty and has spent the last 16 years in the

logging industry as an integral part of Health and Safety in the workplace. When she isn’t in the classroom you can usually find her out and about looking for her next big adventure



This course equips learners in developing a personal understanding of the effects of stress, loss, trauma and grief on others, with emphasis on self-care and personal protection. Learners will be introduced to the Red Cross Look, Listen, Link, Live model – a resiliency-building approach to emotional, psychological, and social wellbeing that teaches learners how to support themselves and others to cope with the effects of various types of stress. The course uses primarily case-based learning and includes the latest evidence from the international community.
